The Summer Academy pre-college experience empowers students with their next decision in life, whether they choose to apply for college or start their careers straight from high school.

- Term 1: June 7–19
- Term 2: June 21–July 3

Eligibility
Summer Academy is a pre-college program open to rising high school students (grades 10-12) and graduating seniors. Students must be 15-18 years old by the first day of the program.
Housing & Dining
Experience college living in dorm-like facilities at a university in the heart of New York City. Dining halls can accommodate a range of dietary restrictions.

Tuition
Each two-week course is $6,195 for Day Students or $7,695 for Residential Students. Students who enroll in multiple terms are eligible for a $500 discount on each term.
Scholarships & Payment Plans
The School offers limited need-based scholarships. All families may opt into a flexible payment plan that allows for tuition to be paid in monthly installments.

Each Summer Academy course introduces students to core journalism and media literacy skills, while tapping into their individual interests, from writing to digital storytelling.
- News and Opinion: From dogged interviewing and reporting to clear writing and storytelling, learn the fundamentals that are essential to uncovering the truth in an increasingly polarized world.
- Editing and Ethics: No piece of journalism comes together without the work of an editor (or two or three!). Learn how editors guide reporters, shape stories and edit all types of journalistic content.
- Multimedia: Gain the creative, technical and journalistic skills that will allow you to create captivating images that tell important stories.
